GLA:D® (Good Life with osteoarthritis) is an evidence-based education and exercise program originally developed in Denmark and now successfully running across Australia. It’s designed specifically for people with hip or knee osteoarthritis and has been shown to:

  • Reduce pain and the need for pain medications

  • Improve strength, balance, and confidence with movement

  • Delay or even avoid the need for joint replacement surgery

What’s Involved?

The program includes:

  • 2 education sessions to help you understand osteoarthritis and how to manage it effectively

  • 12 supervised exercise sessions led by a qualified Exercise Physiologist or Physiotherapist

  • A focus on building strength and control around your hips and knees with exercises tailored to your ability

  • Tracking your progress with before-and-after assessments

You don’t need a referral, and it’s suitable for most people regardless of age or fitness level.
